Zemaitis 1970 A/C 6st CUSTOM
1970年製Custom。スクロールヘッド、ハカランダのツキ板、赤く染めたメイプルにローズウッドを埋め込んだ手の込んだブリッジ、サウンドホール周りの象嵌細工、エボニーの指板に、手の込んだ、楕円のポジションマークと、すべてがカスタムメイドの逸品。サイドバックは、ローズウッドで、センターは、Zemaitis 1969 A/C 6st CUSTOM同様に手の込んだ細工が付けられていて美しい。特筆すべきは、このギターの保存のコンディションである。長年コレクターに大切に保管されてきたのであろう、ウエザークラックや、打痕などもほとんど見られないミュージアム・コンディションだ。ヘッドのプレートは、ロッドカバー・バッチともに、純銀製。安価で入手した日本人オーナー本人が1番驚いたお宝発掘事件だった。センターリグのシャーラーは、当時のオリジナル。
1970 Custom. Everything here is custom-made, i.e., scroll head, jacaranda headstock veneer, ornate bridge made of rosewood-filled red dyed maple, inlays around sound-hole, ebony fingerboard, intricate oval position marks. Rosewood side and back, with same decorative details on center piece as Zemaitis 1969 A/C 6st CUSTOM. Noteworthy is this model's mint condition. Arguably kept preciously by some collector, it has virtually no weather cracks or scratches to speak of, a real museum piece. Head plate in solid-silver, as well as rod cover emblem. Inexpensive, this was a real find, which stunned the Japanese owner himself. Original Schaller center-rigged pegs.
