スイスのコレクター、“カート・シャイデッガー”がロン・ウッド・ドンズバ・モデルとしてオーダーした、1981年のカスタム･デラックス。プリテンダーズで一世を風靡したゼマイティス使い”ジェームス・ハニーマンスコット”も、酷似したスペックのカスタムデラックスを使用していた。
ダークブラウンのボディーに、丁寧な彫金が映える。ケント･アームストロングがトニーの為にハンド･ワインディングした、ブラックのハンバッカーもこのギターの価値を押し上げている。ライヴに強いゼマイティスは、シールドを踏んでもトップを割らないように、サイドジャックがスタンダードの仕様となっているが、ロンのごとく、シールドをボディエンドのストラップピンに挟んで、ジャックにまわしてくる「格好よさ」を演出するには、なんとしてもトップ・ジャックでなければ。ヘッドは、Zバッチをつけない、ロング・ロッド・カバーのスーパー・レア仕様で、気が動転するほどロックン･ロールな、逸品。彼は、スライドにオープンGで使う。ロッド･カバーはストーンズおなじみの「Let me go」。大きめのバックプレートも70年代のロンのギターを踏襲している。
1981 Custom Deluxe made for Swiss collector Kurt Scheidegger, as a true copy of Ron Wood’s model. Dark brown body enhancing ornate engravings. Black humbuckers, hand-wound by Kent Armstrong for Tony, add value to this guitar. For playability on stage, Tony’s guitars usually feature side-jack, so the top is not cracked when stepping on the shield. But if you want to achieve Ron’s cool style, top-jack is a must, the shield coming from strap-button on body end. Note long rod cover on headstock, instead of Z emblem. Very rare model, mind-bogglingly rock & roll.? He plays it slide, on open G. “Let me go” inscribed on rod cover, like the Rolling Stones. Large sized rear plate also copying Ron’s guitar of the ’70s.
