Zemaitis 1981 A/C 12st CUSTOM DELUXE
北米のゼマイティス・コレクターである、Peter Young氏が、エレクトリック6弦とペアでオーダーしたゴールド･プレートの12弦。ヘッド・ネック・ボディーの赤いバインディングはメイプルを染めたものだ。1981年に完成した本器は、George Harrisonのアコースティックと同じ、イーグルウイングのブリッジを搭載したTopモデル（Custom Deluxeの最上級機種）で、通常のカスタマーには提供されないデザインだから、おそらくEGとAC二本同時にオーダーしたYoung氏へのトニーからのプレゼントだろう。赤いアウトラインは、Young氏の好みで、ペアのEGにも同じデザインが施されている。この2本がまたどこかで出会う奇跡を期待したい。12弦なのにブリッジピンがバランスよくみえるのは、わざわざ左右の一本をドット無しにしているからである。
12-strings with a gold plate, ordered by American collector Peter Young, as the electric 6-strings' twin. Binding on head, neck, and body, made of red dyed maple. Made in 1981, this is a top-of-the-line (highest Custom Deluxe model), with an eagle wing bridge, similar to George Harrison's acoustic, thus not for ordinary customers. However, Tony accepted the order, probably because Young ordered 2 guitars at the same time. Young seems to like the red outline, also found on its electric twin. Let's hope the twin will meet somewhere again. Though this is a 12-strings, the bridge has no marking on 1st and 12th strings, which makes it look well-balanced.
